Lakeview Lodge is bed and breakfast accommodation with rural charm situated 35 km north east of Perth in Gidgegannup, one of the most overlooked places in the Perth Hills.  An undiscovered bush paradise with a variety of landscape and the contrasts in topography have given the Perth hills a wealth of diversified plant and bird life.

The rural suburb of Gidgegannup derives its name from Gidgegannup Spring, which was first recorded by surveyors passing through the area in 1852. Gidgegannup is an Aboriginal word meaning 'place where spears are made'. "Gidgie' is the word for spear.

Ideally suited for couples.  The Lodge offers tastefully decorated rooms with ensuites over looking Susannah Lake where you can unwind and basically do nothing if you wish.  Lakeview Lodge is a perfect getaway for a well earned break. At night you can peacefully doze off to sleep as you hear the bush come alive with many sounds of different species of birds and other animals and the singing of frogs as they play in their tranquil lake setting.

The Lodge is situated only minutes from attractions such as local and Swan Valley wineries.  Gidgegannup is the gateway to the Avon Valley, only 30 minutes from the historic town of Toodyay where the international white water rafting Avon Decent passes through.  Gidgegannup also supports the QUIT Targa West car rally which is fast becoming an international event.  There are restaurants within 10 minutes with the world accredited Pizza restaurant and Loose Box French restaurant where international dishes may be savoured in nearby Mundaring.  In the Gidge village there is a bread shop, restaurant and café.   Local artists display the fruits of their labour in the village craft shop… its all close by.

We are conscious of the special environment in which we live.  It is our aim to introduce this beautiful region of Perth to those who know little about it and to provide an experience which will stay with them for ever.
